After a day of huge waves at the Mavericks 2010 contest, including two set waves that pushed through and swept about 20 people onto the beach breaking bones and scraping people up. Chris Bertish is the winner of the 2010 Mavericks Contest!

The surfers have voted and Mavericks is ON! And SC Family Josh Loya will be in the mix as 24 of the worlds best compete for the title in Half Moon Bay. There are numerous places to watch it online or you can go to El Palomar and The Crepe Place to watch it live. We will find one and embed it here.
