Surfing’s proverbial misfit genius Jamie O’Brien has signed on to a 3 year full ride deal with Body Glove apparel and wetsuits.
But lets break it down…Its December on the North Shore of Hawaii with the Body Glove family (<~~~ read) and Keith Terriberry pulls the WHO is J.O.B. movie out of his backpack “You see this movie yet DK??” I swipe it out of his hands and stare at it, Jamie had just visited the shop READ HERE in October for the Red Bull Santa Cruz Premier of WHO is J.O.B. and about 100 kids came to the movie and jaws dropped all over as Jamie did a meet and greet inside Santa Cruz Skate and Surf Shop first then popped over to the Rio Theater where he introduced the movie and held a question and answer for the kids after.

So we both run upstairs like high school kids with the movie and pop it in for team manager Matt “Chuy” Chernega, Matt Patterson, Scott Daley, Noah Gellis, Jenna Meistrel, Mike Balzer, Cheyne Magnusson, Matt Pagan, Alex Gray, Scott Smith, Brandon Bowden and over the course of the trip Greg Browning, Gabe Kling, Holly Beck and other random drop ins. WHO is J.O.B. was on autoplay as the surfing spoke for itself and the soundtrack had an eery way of sucking you in. Then we would watch Body Glove’s Drop Zone Fiji and the pattern was already beginning to show….a combo was brewing.
